The bone-dry desert dunes, the sweaty thickness of the jungle, the loneliness of the glacial arctic. Nature has the overpowering force to captivate and fill our mind and senses with an elevated sense of wonder. I surrender to the beauty of the landscape and feel how I am connected to the land and all the creatures in it. As I stare into the distance with the same eyes as the first humans did, I am able to grasp how my roots are intertwined with everything that has ever been. Enveloped in mysticism I think of the future, and then faintly recognize my reflection in the horizon.
In 2016, two books will be published: Forest Green | Epoxy Grey in the Fall and Strangers in Common in the Spring with an accompanying solo exhibition for Forest Green | Epoxy Grey.BACK TO PHOTO
