In “Rockabilly”, the rockers wear bananas in cotton candy! It is soft and sticky and although it looks like wool to the touch, this pink mass becomes crisp in contact with saliva and melts almost instantly in the mouth. This series talks about the ages of transition and the vulnerability that can occurs in those moments of life. For that I associated a code related to childhood such as cotton candy with a 9 year old boy whose body is soon that of a young man. To compare the fragility and the ephemeral of this melting texture with the beauty of the body in full mutation was for me a way to express the inner contradictions that we go through in the transition from childhood to adolescence.
